HGTV came to us for help with user experience and interaction design for its FrontDoor online real estate site. Using a three step process beginning with flows, then wireframes and lastly, annotations, we were able help HGTV/Frontdoor deploy new features on the site with efficiency. Implementing careful planning and good UX processes, along with excellent IxD documentation, large projects like these go much more smoothly and are easier to manage.
Working in tandem with the development team and the creative staff at HGTV/FrontDoor, we crafted a series of flows to help identify potential problem areas in usability. Then we created detailed wireframes for the creative staff to reference during the comping phase. Then, for the developers, we carefully annotated each feature so the coding phase could be completed with no need for guesswork. The visual design work was skillfully executed by the pros at HGTV.
